Given the ease and predictability of the deal, I would probably be willing to accept a slightly lower price from C&C just to avoid the risk and headache of selling to a private buyer.
I don't have experience buying from them, but I recently sold them a watch, and they were a lot fairer and more reasonable on their offer than other similar dealers I inquired with. Part of the process involved their authenticating the watch, so I think you can be comfortable with buying from them.
